The synagogue of Casale Monferrato, built in 1595 in the Italian rite. The façade is deliberately plain — drawing attention was unwise — and the interior is baroque and full of gilding. It is one of the most important in Europe, and the community is still there. The hours it publishes are visiting hours: closed Saturday, open Sunday.
