Jewish cemetery of Charata, on National Route 89. Jewish families reached the area from 1917, and above all from 1923, coming from Moisés Ville, Dora and Montefiore to farm cotton; in 1936 the community published Chaker Vort here, a monthly magazine in Yiddish. AMIA’s catalogue of Jewish farming colonies documents that history. Like every rural cemetery it is usually locked: arrange a visit with the local community before going. There are no services or food.
