Preparing the map
The issuer publishes a VKM/Vaad Kashrus Mehadrin letter for Caffe Aronne, 976A Lexington Avenue, signed by Rabbi Tzvi Altusky and valid through December 31, 2026; no issue date appears. It covers products prepared by this establishment. It says Dairy - not Cholov; the whole cafe is not verified as Chalav Yisrael, despite the operator’s conflicting heading. Its own FAQ says it is not Chalav Yisrael, declares Pas Yisrael and closure on Shabbat, holidays and Passover. This exact-door letter takes precedence over KJ’s Mehlman listing; it does not extend to 334 Amsterdam or catering. Maps lists Monday–Thursday 07:00–18:00, Friday 07:00–17:00, Sunday 07:00–19:00 and Saturday closed; the website says Sunday–Friday 07:00–19:00. Confirm these differences and seasonal Friday closing. Reviewed October 28, 2026.
