Sephardic-rite synagogue built in the second half of the 19th century, the only Jewish temple Turnu Severin ever had. The community was an important part of the city's cultural life until the post-war emigration; the building was sold and now houses a notary's office, but together with the cemetery it remains the most visible Jewish trace in the city centre.
